We can fix this. We just need people to understand what’s happened. And stop the gaslighting about our perfect Democracy and our perfect free and fair elections.
Amen, Marybeth! I have been saying this for years now, trying to alert people, especially democrats, to it. They are afraid to touch the subject and even were before the bogus 'Stop the Steal' op (as I call it), but it really became toxic after that. My feeling is that we were played; played by all of the rampant disinformation and gaslighting on this important subject.
People are beginning to wake up to what is going on, finally, I just hope it is not too late to get the vulnerabilities in our election system fixed before the midterm elections! The first step is officially verifying the results of the 2024 election with forensic audits, and if the results are shown to have been rigged/hacked fixing those vulnerabilities that allowed it to happen.
It may seem like progress is unbearably slow, but it's so important to be meticulous in the preparations in order to give it their best shot, since they may only get one shot.
And they're not giving away their (!) shot!
Rockland Election Officials asked for the case to be dismissed, but the judge seemed to Indictate that the evidence presented by SMART has merit, and allowed discovery to proceed.
SMART has asked the county officials to produce certain information and documents, etc, and I think I heard elsewhere that a progress report on the Discovery phase is expected by the end of August… and hopefully, the hand recount can begin! I can hardly wait.

My gut has always said something was off about this election. Answers came in almost TOO quickly. Also, given the amazing attendance at all Harris events I saw, didn't make sense when juxtaposed with the results. I simply CANNOT believe that Harris didn't at least do BETTER than she did.
Besides, we've learned with Trump that every accusation from him, is an admission. Let me give you an example: Trump wanted Biden tested for "Enhancement drugs" when there was a news report about Trump's alleged Adderall usage, as was reported by members of his staff. Now, I have been unable to relocate that article, but I read it and went back in my browser history to print it and it only took me to the main page, meaning they removed that issuer removed that article.
We all heard Trump crow for four LONG years about how the election was "rigged" and then, he might have done just that? I have learned to trust my gut, so I hope something comes of this.
I am studying case law, old cases of voters versus boards of elections. They always move to dismiss. This is how they get you. They move to dismiss based on lack of standing.
