All of these states are having their midterm primaries today.

Kansas polls close at 7 or 8pm depending on the county. (Mostly CT & some MT)

Michigan polls close at 8pm local time. (Mostly CT and some ET)

Missouri polls close at 7pm CT.

Virginia polls close at 7pm ET.

Washington - Deposit your ballot in an official drop box by 8 p.m. PT on Election Day. (Washington has same day registration, and you can register in person and vote today.)

3. Observe the election and/ or the audit, including taking screenshots of election results as they come in.

Why Observe an Election?

Election observation is a lost art. Most states have laws that describe how election observers (poll watchers) can get a certificate for observation and what they are allowed to observe with that certificate. Usually observers can be inside the polling place and collect certain data.

But many people have never heard of this. Election protection for years has focused mostly on making sure that people are allowed to vote. This is worthwhile, but our votes are processed through layers and layers of technology - and many people also handle the ballots as the ballots go from the polling place to the county headquarters and then often to an audit. We cannot just assume that everything will go perfectly.

That is why we have developed 6 different parts of the election to observe. We have training for all 6 modules:

• Testing of the voting machines (Logic & Accuracy Testing Observation)

• Voter Rolls

• In-Person Voting

• Mail-In Voting

• Election Night Reporting

• Audits

What Have We Found?

You would be surprised. These examples are from an election we observed in the New York June 2026 primary.

Observers were prevented from watching the audit, even though the judge in this NY case ordered election officials to let us observe. Here is the view from when we were observing 13 feet away through a chain-link fence.

After the recount, the race was reported to have an 19-vote margin.

This entire bin of Early Voting ballot bags was left unlocked overnight outside the cage where ballots are supposed to be kept.

Early Voting seals from ballot bags were thrown in the garbage.

One elections officials was handling ballots and opening ballot boxes at a table by himself. This is strictly against New York statutes.

That same election official was mixing copies of ballots with ballots during the preparation for the recount.

Many ballot boxes were missing seals, or had seals that were broken.

This bag had 2 broken seals and the ballots were stacked neatly inside, as though someone had already gone through them before the recount.

We’ll find out some time in the next week or two if the judge is requiring a new election as we have requested.
