I am the Founder & Executive Director of SMART Legislation, the lead plaintiff in the Rockland County NY lawsuit challenging the results of the 2024 election. AMA!
Friday 6/13/25 from 4:30 -6 pm EST
This Ask Me Anything (AMA) is on Reddit. When I first started using Reddit - I did not understand how Ask Me Anything’s worked. So I will explain it here for those who have not done a Reddit AMA. I thought it would be like a Zoom call and we would take questions. But it’s all text via the Reply function on Reddit.
People post questions, in the reply area of the AMA post.
They post questions before-hand and during the time period specified
Reddit users up and down vote the questions
We reply to as many as we can, especially the more upvoted ones
As an example: here is the link to our December 2024 AMA

I'm currently leading the SMART Legislation lawsuit in Rockland County NY challenging the results of the 2024 Presidential and U.S Senate election. The press release for the lawsuit was carried on the AP and the lawsuit has been covered in multiple media outlets, including Newsweek, which has done two articles on it.
Newsweek coverage about the lawsuit moving forward into discovery.
Newsweek coverage of our investigation into potential problems with software updates for the voting machines in 2024.
SMART Legislation is the action arm of SMART Elections, a nonpartisan nonprofit focused on making U.S. elections fair, secure, accurate, accessible and publicly verifiable.
Feel free to start asking questions by replying to the original Reddit post. Thanks!
I've been leading the SMART Elections Data Team (#SEDATA) in a series of research projects. We released a comprehensive analysis of something we call the "drop-off factor" in the 2024 election. The analysis included 17 states, (six swing states/11 non-swing.) We illustrated that there is a large percentage of votes for President-elect Trump where there is no vote for the next Republican down-ballot race, usually the Senate. Whereas on the Democratic side, Kamala Harris is often receiving fewer votes than the Democratic down-ballot race. We are seeing patterns in these results that look programmatic—that is, they don't look like natural voting patterns. They look programmed. The drop-off factor is more extreme in the swing states.
We are working with academic statisticians to analyze the data we're collecting. One statistician we're working with has released an analysis of the election results in Rockland County, New York that is quite remarkable. He concludes that the 2024 election results, in that county, are highly unlikely and would benefit from further investigation.
We Welcome Volunteers at SMART Elections
JOIN OUR COMMUNITY! We're seeking volunteers with a range of skills to help further our work. If you're interested, please volunteer here. These are just a few of the areas where we'd love more help. There are more, so if you don't see your skill set - feel free to sign up anyway, there's lots to do!
DATA RESEARCH: We are continuing our data research. We're expanding our original analysis from 17 to 27 states and including election cycles as far back as 2012 for comparison. We are looking for people with data skills, especially those open to doing sometimes tedious downloading, extraction and verification of data.
CYBER//ETHICAL HACKER, COMPUTER NETWORKING & ENGINEERING: We have more reports coming including one on the bomb threats that occurred on and around the election. There were many more than were originally reported. We're looking for people with strong cyber-security, computer networking and engineering backgrounds to help further this work.
AUDITS: We'll also be releasing information about the audits that have taken place in different states.
SCHEDULING & PROJECT MANAGEMENT: We are very much looking for volunteers with scheduling and project management experience. This is critical to our organizational success.
ELECTION PROTECTION: We are assembling an election protection team in every state, working to improve and protect U.S. elections. We are nonpartisan and work with people across the political spectrum. We encourage you to get involved no matter what your belief system. There are many ways that U.S. elections can be improved. We focus on security and public oversight, and were founded in 2019 before it was a hot-button topic. Sign up to participate.
ABOUT ME
I’m a TEDx speaker, a former journalist and documentary filmmaker who has contributed to Emmy-award winning coverage at ABC News. I worked in network news for twenty years, including long stints at NBC (including MSNBC & CNBC), CBS and the Fox News Channel. I covered election security for years for a variety of media outlets, doing investigations into voting machine insecurities that received over 4 million views on Now This. Prior to that, I produced and directed a documentary film about why more people don't vote.
On Friday at 4:30 pm EST, I'll be here with a few SMART Elections team members to answer your questions.
